BlackRock's Capital Markets (BCM) serves as a center of excellence across public and private market sourcing for the firm and co-investment and financing for our alternatives business. It is a holistic, comprehensive investment platform that provides solutions across the capital stack. BCM helps to deploy capital in active portfolios within BlackRock Alternative Investors (BAI) and Portfolio Management Group (PMG). BAI offers access to a spectrum of alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure. PMG is a single organization with seven portfolio management businesses: Fundamental Fixed Income, Municipals and FIG Fixed Income, Index Fixed Income and LDI, Fundamental Equities, Systematic Investments, Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions and Global Lending, Liquidity and Private Investors.


You will provide administrative support to Managing Directors and part-time support to the broader team. With your resourcefulness, organization skills, and professionalism, you will make a big impact to the BCM team.


  • Act as a gatekeeper; consistently demonstrates understanding of priorities and proactively handles calendars across multiple time-zones
  • Coordinates complex global travel itineraries, including booking transportation/accommodations and processing expense reports using Concur
  • Filters through requests independently and follows through on behalf of managers
  • Assists with creation of PowerPoint presentations and content development
  • Responsible for coordinating large, sophisticated meetings, administrating committee meetings/working groups for leaders; maintain agenda, schedule meetings, take minutes and track follow-up items
  • Effectively builds relationships in a cordial and professional manner, consistently looks for new insights to further develop working relationships and seeks opportunities to partner with colleagues throughout the firm
  • Understands organizational policies and procedures to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed
  • Manage complex scheduling, anticipate needs for each meeting, and provide required materials in advance

You have…
  • At least 3 years of corporate administrative experience in roles that support senior management
  • Outstanding skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Experience and proficiency working with automated expense tracking, online travel and similar systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for team building, forging connections and encouraging firm culture
  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments
  • Ability and willingness to work independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $110,000 which is the equivalent of $33.65 – $52.88 per hour. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s current hybrid work model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while supporting increased flexibility for all employees. In line with local health guidance and regulations, employees are required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
